Pizza Pasta

Who doesn't love pizza?! But sometimes you just need to change things up a bit. That's where this Pizza Pasta comes in. It's all the flavors of pizza that you love, but in a quick and hearty pasta meal. It's a great way to bring the family together for a sit down meal that everyone will enjoy. Let the conversation begin...

 Printable Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 12 oz Rotini Pasta (I used the tri-colored)
  • 3 cups Pasta Sauce (your favorite)
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella
  • 30 Pepperoni Slices
  • 1/2 cup sliced Mushrooms
Mix it up! Use whatever pizza toppings your family enjoys. Sausage, Bell Peppers, Black Olives, Ham, Pineapple... the possibilities are endless.

Method:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Pour about 1/2 cup of sauce in the bottom of an 8 x 11 pan, and spread it around to coat the bottom.

Cook your pasta according to package directions, then drain.

Begin layering. Spoon about half of the cooked pasta evenly over the sauce in the bottom of the pan. Add in a layer of toppings. (I used pepperoni and mushrooms.) Then pour about a cup of sauce evenly over that, and sprinkle with about 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese.

Then make another layer. Use the rest of the pasta - more toppings - then the rest of the sauce - and finally the rest of the cheese. (You will use more sauce and cheese for this final layer. It's what makes the dish look pretty.)

Bake uncovered, in the preheated 350 degree oven, for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sides are beginning to bubble.

Doesn't that look gorgeous?!!

Enjoy!
